TAIL-ENDERS HOLD OUT
Seventh Pair Defy Aust, (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CARDIFF, May 19. A seventh-wicket ■ partnership of 94 between G. Hughes and D. Evans may have cost Australia the chance of a victory over Glamorgan. At lunch yesterday, when Glamorgan was 135 for six in reply to Australia’s 361 for seven declared, it seemed likely the county team would have to bat again before the day was over. Instead, Hughes and Evans defied all the Australian bowlers, and Glamorgan's last four wickets added 158 runs. AUSTRALIA First innings, 361 for 7 deci.
