£lBO5 For Two Blocks
Two blocks of grazing land at Bexley were sold for £lBO5 at public auction yesterday. The properties were offered on account of the estate of James Henry Cook by Mr N. H. McCrostie.
Lot 1, situated on the west side of Bexley road, comprising 4 acres 3 roods 30.7 perches, was sold for £905. The initial bid was £5OO. There were seven bids of £5O, two of £25, and one of £5. Lot 2, six acres and 25 perches on the east side of Bexley road, was sold for £9OO. The opening bid was £7OO. There were four bids of £5O.
Offered on account of the estate of S. W. Andrews, a two-storey house at 105 Locksley avenue, Avonside, was passed in at £4700. The auctioneer was Mr C. M. Robertson.
The house has four bedrooms; two sunrooms, lounge, livingroom, diningroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Outbuildings on the section of three roods and 34.8 perches include a double garage, glasshouse, and sheds. The Government Valuation is £4075.
