Building Plans For Rimu Park
Plans for the construction of further buildings at Rimu Park, which had been purchased by the district, would cost approximately £lOOO, said Mr M. A. Connelly, M.P., at the annual meeting of the Rimu District Boy Scouts Association. He declared the drive to raise money open. Rimu district now had seven wood badge scouters (the highest standard of training in the district), a record, said the district commissioner. Mr R. E. Howard.
The chairman's report (which was given by the deputy chairman. Mr S. Cradock, in place of the chairman. Mr J. A. Garland), said a light bulb selling campaign has swelled the district fund by £BB.
In their reports, the district scoutmaster (Mr D. Saunders), and the district cubmaster (Mts N. Hicks), said there was a lack of sufficient trained scouters for the training of the boys. The acting district scoutmaster. Mr D. Saunders, was appointed district scoutmaster.
Officers elected were; chairman, Mr S. Cradock; secretary, Mrs D. McClymont; treasurer, Mr A. Mouldey. Th* offices of president, deputy chairman, and auditor were to be filled at the first executive meeting.
