Poetry And Birds
Poetry by New Zealand poets has been combined with a display of native birds in the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The display was arranged by the director of the museum. (Sir Gilbert Archey). On show are the tui, depicted in verse by Gilean Duggan and William Pember Reeves; the bellbird, by Reeves and William Satchell; the huia, by Eileen Duggan; the morepork, by May Stanley; and the riro riro, by Alan Mulgan.
