New Stamps
New 7s 6d and £2 stamps will be issued in Australia on August 26, the former showing Captain Cook seated at his work table and the latter depicting Admiral Phillip Parker King with the cutter Mermaid in the background. Both stamps are part of the “navigators" series of which the 4s Tasman, 10a Flinders and the £1 Bass have, been issued. The final stamp will be a 5s stamp depicting William Dampier. It will be issued later this year.—Canberra, May 15.
