NO PADS
All teams apparently had taken heed of' the warning issued on the use of shoulder pads or padding and no players were' seen wearing these in senior Rugby matches on Saturday. To underline the fact that most players had no need to wear padding, referees were not asked for permission for players to wear padding and no medical certificates were produced.
