SMITHFIELD MARKET
Some Easing In Lamb (N.Z. Press Association' WELLINGTON. May 15 There was a good inquiry for New Zealand lamb at Smithfield market. London, this week, according to Ihe Meat Board market information service. There was a slight easing in prices which became steadier as the week advanced, with the main grade (29-361 b being quoted at 25Jd to 26d per lb. Light supplies of fresh and chilled beef were on the market and these cleared without difficulty at advanced prices. A small quantity of excellent quality and conditioned New Zealand hinds sold easily at 34d to 34 jd per lb. Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:—
