TV Stocks Dominate Trading At Close
Television stocks again dominated interest in New Zealand share trading yesterday with a further rise of Is to 73s by Pye Electronics and 3s 6d to 36s by Bell Radio. TV retailers Charles Begg advanced with als 3d rise to 24s’9d by the B shares.
New Zealand Breweries rose 5d to 14s lid and Westland Breweries 2s to 325. N.Z. Insurance old and C shares and South British recovered lost ground, while K.P.G. added another Id to 7s 9d. Rheem gained 9d to 21s 9d.
Truth N.Z. gained 2s 9d to 57s 3d, but profit-taking caused Wilson and Horton to ease Is to 32s 6d.
