Rats By The Million
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) DJAKARTA May 15. More than 64 million rats were killed In Central Java during the recent anti-rat campaign by members of the armed forces. The slaughter is expected to result in an increase in rice production. Areas of Central Java have been affected by rat plagues and drought which combined to cause a shortage of food.
