secretary of the Czech
Embassy in Rio was arrested today as he was about to hand over two million cruzeiros (about £40,000) for the security secrets of an oil refinery, said the police. Colonel Gustavo Borges, chief of the political and social order police, said Kvita was arrested outside a cinema as he handed over the money to a police agent, acting as a refinery employee. The agent had been given false security secrets to pass to Kvita.
