Professor J. Waldenstrom, of Malmo, Sweden, will visit Christchurch in November as the Pfizer lecturer for 1964. He is a specialist in diseases of proteins.
Mr N. T. Moar, of the Botany Division, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Lincoln, will represent the department at the Tenth International Botanical Congress in Edinburgh in August. Mr Moar is at present finishing a thesis at Cambridge University. Mr I. R. Wills, a Southland farmer, has been appointed a member of the State Advances Corporation. The corporation now consists of two farmers and two businessmen.—(P.A.)
