Ramsay Beats 2-year-olds

Ramsay, a chestnut colt by the New Zealand sire Messmate (imp.) from an imported mare Glow Worm, won the two-year-old handicap for colts and geldings at Rosehill on Saturday. Ramsay (13/2) showed improved form in beating Carnival (6/1) by a long head, with Bunyula (6/1) four lengths away third.

The New Zealand-bred No Error, a five-year-old by Marco Polo II Irom Misprint, finished strongly to score a convicing win in the Guadalcanal Trial Handicap. No Error (6/1) beat Game Prince (12/1) by a length and a quarter, with Robrick (11/2) a long neck away third. At his previous two starts In better class since returning from a spell, No Error finished last. On both occasions he started at 100/1.

No Error has been nominated for both the Stradbrooke Handicap and the Brisbane Cup in Brisbane next month.
