Hillary At Bangkok

(N. Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) BANGKOK, May 9. The New Zealand mountaineer, Sir Edmund Hillary, arrived in Bangkok today to visit the Thailand-based unit of Volunteer Service Abroad, an organisation of which he is president. He said the organisation had 18 members working in development projects in three countries, Thailand, Sarawak and Western Samoa. The unit in Thailand has six members and is financed by the Rotary Club. He said there was no plan to send volunteers to South Vietnam at present.

He will return to New Zealand on May 14.
