Men’s Basketball FOUR-YEAR ROSTER

The next major men's basketball tournament to be held in Christchurch will be the South Island open championships in 1965 if a detailed tournament roster, prepared by the council of the New Zealand Men’s Basketball Association, is approved at the annual conference on May 9. The only other tournament of any importance to be held in Canterbury in the next four seasons is the South Island B grade event in 1967. The proposed roster is:
1965: New Zealand tournament at Otago, first division of North Island open tournament at Auckland, second division of North Island open tournament at Wellington, South Island open tournament in Canterbury, North Island B grade tournament at Bay of Plenty, South Island B grade tournament in Southland.
1966: New Zealand tournament at'Bay of Plenty, first division of North Island open tqurament at Taranaki, second division of North Island open tournament at Waikato, South Island open tournament at Otago, North Island B grade tournament at Manawatu, South Island B grade tournament at Nelson.
1967: New Zealand tournament at. Nelson, first division of North Island open tournament at Manawatu, second division of North Island open tournament at Auckland, South Island open tournament at Southland, North Island B grade tournament at Waikato, South Island B grade tournament at Canterbury. 1968: New Zealand tournament at Wellington, first division of North Island open tournament on East Coast North Island, second division of North Island open tournament at Bay of Plenty, South Island open tournament at Nelson-Marlborough, North Island B grade tournament at Taranaki, South Island B grade tournament at Otago.
