Notifiable Diseases
A girl of eight with pulmonary tuberculosis was one of the four cases of notifiable diseases reported in the Christchurch health district last week. Her condition was revealed during the screening of a family of a known sufferer of the disease. The other notifiable disease cases reported last week were two of infective hepatitis and one of ophthalmia neonatorum. The hepatitis victims were women in the city and Waimairi county and the baby with ophthalmia was in a Christchurch hospital.
