INCREASE IN REVENUE

The accounts of the National Airways Corporation for the year ending March 31 shows a rise in revenue of £330,000, it was reported today. The rise could be enough to enable the corporation to, break even for the year after the previous year’s loss of £136,320, and of £96,182 the year before that.. After allowance is made for depreciation, the increased revenue could yield an operating profit of around £276,000, compared with those of £128,839 and £110,841 for the two preceding years. For the first time the corporation has carried more than 800,000 passengers in a year, an increase of about 52,000.
