Tilka Turned Out
"The Press" Special Service WANGANUI, April 27. The smart Wanganui mare Tilka has been turned out following a successful season, according to her trainer, J. C. Bagby. She bled slightly when contesting the weight-for-age Ormond Gold Cup, 10 furlongs, at Hastings last week, and finished well towards the rear. During the current. • term the four-year-old Gabador— Bronbridge mare established herself as one of the Dominion’s top milers. Though she won only two races, she was placed in the best company on six occasions. These efforts earned her owner, Mr J. G. Alexander, £2435.
