SHEEP FOR INDIA
N.Z. Gift Of 414 Arrives (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 27. . A consignment of Romney Marsh and Southdown sheep arrived in India recently from farms in the- Wairarapa, Manawatu and Gisborne areas. A gift to the Indian Government from the people of New Zealand, the flock com sisted of 414 ewes and rams paid for with donations to C.0.R.5.0, for the Freedom from Hunger campaign. New Zealand was'the first country to respond to India’s appeal, made through the United Nations Food and Agriculture. Organisation, for sheep of certain breeds to improve her flocks.
