WYNNE IN HOSPITAL
Three Doctors Confer (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, April 27. Swapped British “spy” Greville Wynne, 45, exchanged for Soviet masterspy Gordon Lonsdale last week, was taken to hospital in London yesterday wrapped in a blanket and carried on a stretcher, Mr Wynne was taken to a private room at the Gordon Hospital, Westminster. A hospital spokesman said Mr Wynne was “resting quietly.” Under Sedation The decision to move Mr Wynne to hospital was made by three doctors after a bedside conference at his home. The doctors —the Wynne family doctor, Dr. Edward Bott, his partner. Dr. Basil Middleton, and a psychiatric specialist, Dr. Peter Dally—said Mr Wynne was suffering from nervous and physical exhaustion. “There has been a deterioration in his health and he is under sedation,” they said. “Mr Wynne is going through a nervous and physical reaction to the strain of recent events.”
