COMMERCIAL Key N.Z. Stocks Give Firm Start To Week
Firming by key New Zealand stocks gave the market a good start to the week on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Second-rank New Zealand issues were also firm, but the overseas section was in balance. Among New Zealand leaders to gain ground was Gear Meat, National Insurance, Alex Harvey, Bell Radio, Hay’s, Neill Cropper, Farmers’ Fertiliser, Forest Products and Wool worths. Rothmans gained further to £5 17s 6d. On the overseas list Boral, David Jones, E.Z. Industries and Mount Isa firmed.
