Comets To Be Used (N.Z. Press Associatibn) AUCKLAND, April 27. Comet jet airliners will soon take over the air service between Auckland and New Caledonia. Tasman Empire Airways are expected to announce the start of this service later this week. The pure jet Comets will be chartered from the British Overseas Airways Corporation, and the weekly service from Whenuapai to Noumea and return will probably be made on Fridays instead of Tuesdays as at present. Under their present schedule, the Comets are parked at the airport through Friday. With winter schedules coming into operation, the T.E.A.L, Electras will be successively withdrawn for overhaul. The Comet service is expected to start on May 29 or June 5.
