China yesterday accused Mr Khrushchev and his aides of lying and compared them to “ostriches with their heads buried in the sand.” The Soviet leaders had made up their minds to “split with all Marxist-Leninists . . . revolutionaries and unite only with revisionists.” The latest attack in the Chinese-Soviet war of words on ideology came in a statement issued by the Chinese Communist Party.
