WALLASEY (England), April 27. A Roman Catholic woman doctor, who has been refused the sacraments by her church because she has been running a birth control clinic, said yesterday she planned to confront the Archbishop of Westminster (Dr. John Heenan) on Sunday, May 31. At her home in Wallasey, Dr. Anne Biezanek, aged 36. a mother of seven, said: “For months now I have been attending church without receiving the sacraments. “I feel I must bring matters to a head so I have written to Dr. Heenan telling him that I shall present myself for Holy Communion at the altar at Westminster Cathedral, London, on Sunday, May 31—the feast of Our Lady. “If I don’t receive Communion on that day, which is my last chance to do my Easter duty, then 1 will consider myself a lapsed Catho-i lie. “I believe I am doing God's work in helping Catholics to limit the size of their families and to save their marriages and it is time the church stopped trying to ignore my work.” Not Known A member of Archbishop Heenan’s staff said: “We do not know the woman. Just because she has been refused Communion in one church
it does not mean she will be refused here. She could go into a thousand churches and still receive Communion. . A priest is not to know if she has reformed or not.”
The spokesman said the Archbishop would not be saying Mass in the cathedral on May 31.
