University Library
Sir, —Most of the students who go to the university library are not using library facilities other than the table and chair provided—but this they must have. A relatively simple relief to overcrowding therefore would be the provision of a “quiet room” (or rooms) with minimum furnishings, heating, and a small collection’ of standard dictionaries, preferably somewhere. near the Students’ Union block. With silence guaranteed, this would be preferred by many students.— Yours,, etc., ELSIE LOCKE, April 19, 1964.
