RICCARTON DOUBLE.—TOP: Sailorman gained a comfortable win in the Dominion Handicap, first leg of the double at Riccarton yesterday, but there was a tight finish for the minor places. Sir Athol (obscured) beat Royal Crest by a head for second. Birthright was a head back fourth, half a head in front of Picright. BOTTOM: Shakes gains his second victory over Champ at the meeting in the second leg, the Templeton Handicap. Royal Estate outfinished Careen for third.
