A visiting American machinery and equipment mission discussed proposals for business . co-operation with more than 1200 Australian businessmen during its three weeks’ visit to Australia, the United States Embassy said yesterday. It said Australian firms had expressed definite interest in 315 American business proposals. These proposals, together with those made by Australian businessmen, meant that the mission had returned to the United States with a total of 400 proposals for presentation to the American business community. Proposals covered dairying, meat and food processing and packaging, machinery and equipment, electronics equipment, textile machinery, chemicals and electrical instruments. The mission left Australia last Thursday.
