Lake Hauroko Visitors

(N.Z. Press Association)

INVERCARGILL, Mar. 31. Many persons were inquiring about Lake Hauroko and going to visit it, even though the access road was not finished, the secretary of the Lake Hauroko Access Committee (Mr G. Dickson) said today.

, It was clear that Lake Hauroko would be a big attraction when the roadwork was done.

It was to be hoped, said Mr Dickson, that the road, on which work was suspended just now, would be finished before Christmas. At present it was half a mile from the lake and one mile from the spot chosen for a boat slip.
