Gun Registration
A replica of an antique gun previously exempt from control now come under the Arms Act and must be registered, the Minister of Police (Mr Allen) announced yesterday. The replica, a colt frontier pistol, can fire ammunition which is available to the public today. The Government had decided that in the public interest possession of this weapon should be controlled and that it should be subject to the same provisions governing other firearms that come under the act. Mr Allen said the act covered all replicas of antique pistols.—(P.A.) v
