Sound batting by Banks Peninsula resulted in it easily beating Ashley in a one-day match played yesterday. Paul Haglund and I. Plummer batted forcefully for Banks Peninsula and were unfortunate to be dismissed in the nineties. Scores: Peninsula 275 for five declared (Paul Haglund 90, I. Plummer 99, Peter Haglund 35 not out; B. Sail three for 68), Ashley 151 (D. Bluett 33, W. Alderson 23; R. Harris four for 50, R. Kay three for 46).
