MOORE NETS THIRD GOAL
Too Hot For N.Z. Team (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BANGKOK, March 19. The Wellington centre-for-ward, R. Moore, maintained his record of a goal in each match when he scored the only goal in the New Zealand soccer team’s 7-1 defeat by the Thailand national XI at Bangkok yesterday. Moore, a former Canterbury representative, had scored in both games in Hong Kong, when New Zealand was beaten, 2-1 and 3-1. The New Zealanders were slowed down by Thailand’s tropical heat. The Thais led by only 1-0 at half-time, but scored nearly at will in the second half before a crowd of 8000. Moore headed in a lovely pass from the inside left, A. J. Sefton, after 17 minutes of the second half. P. L. Whiting made fine saves in the New Zealand goal, but he had to cope with a savage series of attacks in the second half. The New Zealand team was: P. L. Whiting, J. A. Evans, A. Leong, G. P. Gilby, R. Mcßriar, A J. Sefton, K. Sudlow, R. D. Ormond, R. Moore, H. B. Russell, J. J. Ryan.
