ENOUGH FOR 40 SUITS
The 2031 b "bale of superfine Merino wool which was sold for a world record price of 606 d a lb, or £512 Ils fid a bale, at the Newcastle sales this month, would make about 40 suits, according to a local textile authority quoted by Dalgety and New Zealand Loan's news service. The wool was grown by a New England grazier. Mr Sperry Coventry, of Lyuoch, near Armidale, and was selected by a ■Dalgety wool-ciasser, Mr Owen Mitchell, from a clip of .more than 800 bales.
