Birdlings Flat May Be Used
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, March 20. The Royal New Zealand Air Force range at Birdlings flat may return to something of its World War II role if investigations now being carried out are approved. The investigations are being made into the possibility of reintroducing weapons training into the basic flying course. If this were adopted, Birdlings flat would be made a bombing and gunnery range again.
Some preliminary survey work has been done, but a quick decision is not likely.
