EXPORT LAMB
Price Rise Announced All weights of woolly lambs killed for export in the South Island will rise id in price as from Monday. Woolly lamb rejects will also rise a similar amount.
All hoggets and wethers will rise Id in price but prices for ewes will not change. The schedule for G.A.Q. cow has not gone up as was anticipated. The new prices are:— Woolly lambs.—Prime: 20 to 281 b 21d; 29 to 361 b 20d; 37 to 421 b 18|d; 43 to 501 b 17d; 51 to 561 b 15d. Second quality: 20 to 281 b 20|d; 29 to 361 b 19Jd; over 361 b 17id. Hoggets.—Prime: under 48 lb lOjd; 49 to 561 b 9id. Second quality: under 481 b 9Jd; 49 to 561 b Bjd. Wethers.—Prime: under 481 b 9|d: 49 to 561 b BJd; 57 to 641 b 6}d: 65 to 721 b 4fd; 73 to 801 b 3|d; over 80 and overfat 2}d. Second quality: under 481 b B}d; 49 to 561 b 7?d; over 561 b 5Jd; manufacturing 6|d. Rates for hoggets and wethers are subject to a basic wool pull of one pound. Wool adjustments are unchanged.
