The successful applicant will be responsible to the regional traffic engineer and his duties will include traffic survey and analysis, highway design and field survey and the preparation of plans for the development of the motorways and major routes of the Christchurch master transportation plan. Applications will be considered from recent B.E. graduates, but engineers, with or without registration, who have had experience in roading design and construction will receive preference. The commencing salary will be in the range £1155 to £l5BO according to qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will be granted the opportunity of attending a postgraduate course in traffic engineering at Sydney University during 1965.
