New Farmers’ Secretary
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 19. Federated Farmers of New Zealand had appointed its research officer, Mr J. G. Pryde, as general secretary, the president (Mr E. W. McCallum) announced today. Mr Pryde fills the post left vacant by Mr A. P. O’Shea, who resigned to take up the position of North American representative of the Meat Board. Formerly in the research department of the Reserve Bank, Mr Pryde, who is 38, joined Federated Farmers as research officer in 1958.
