DIED AFTER FALL
Inspector Of Mines (N.Z. Press Auociatidn) NELSON, March 20. A Mines Department Inspector stationed at Greymouth, who has been in Nelson Hospital since being injured when he fell 70ft in a Golden Bay dolomite quarry op March 4, died this afternoon. He was: Lance Fallow, married, who . had been, stationed at Greymouth for about six months.
Mr Fallow was with a Japanese geologist, Mr Hitoshi Hittori, and a geologist from Lime and Marble, Ltd., of Mapua, Mr J. C. Braithwaite, high up on a rugged face when a boulder to which he was Clinging gave away. It took a party of 15 quarry workers an hour and a half to. bring the injured man to the floor of the quarry and he was later admitted to Nelson Hospital in a serious condition.
