Fleet Moves North
' The. Soviet whaling .fleet appears to‘ have left" South Island waters., .. -,. At • p.m.: yesterday a National Airways Corporation DC3 pilot -reported the ships passing through COok Strait from the east Coast, of the South .Island towards the west coast •of ’ the North Island. . He did not indicate the . numbers in the fleet. Earlier, at 11 a.m.,. a Royal New Zealand Air Force pilot on a flight, from Wigram to, Wellington reported seeing three. Russian ships off Cape Campbell. -An N;AC- pildt reported the factory:, ship to be about "30 miles but with fotir chasers, about 10 miles from the eoast sailing on parallel courses.
