Upset Table Tennis Win Selwyn 1 beat Eagles, 7-5, ' in the twentieth round of the senior table tennis competi- ’ tion to go into a seven-point lead with one round to PlayThe surprise of the contest was the brilliant play of the top junior, P. J. Ives (Eagles), who beat the former South Island and Canterbury champion, V. N. Brightwell.

After a slow start Ives improved to win comfortably in the third game. Ives, however, was beaten by A. Vermes tn another exciting game. University went down to Dallington, 13-16, after matches had been tied to 6all. It was a good team effort by Dallington in spite of the three singles matches won by the University player, D. D. M.
