TEACHERS’ COLLEGE
Waimairi Rd. Proposal
A new post-primary department of the Christchurch Teachers’ College may be established in Waimairi road.
The Waimairi County Council last evening approved in principle a request from the Department of Education for the siting of the college, but said a firm approval could not be given until certain conditions were settled.
No Hydatids.—None of the 270 dogs tested for hydatids in December, 1963, were infected, said the council’s inspector (Mr LH. Wilson). “I think this is excellent as both the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company and Borthwicks, Belfast, were included," 1 he said.
