Canal Talks

The Organisation of American States decided tonight to continue its efforts to mediate the Panama Canal dispute. After hearing a report from a five-nation delegation on its failure to achieve an accord during the last five weeks, the O.A.S. council issued a statement calling on the delegation to “continue exploring the possibilities of conciliation between the two parties.” __
