Title Bout To Go Overseas
(N.Z. Press Association! AUCKLAND, Mar. 17.
The return bout for the British Empire middle-weight boxing title might be fought overseas between Tuna Scanlan and Gomeo Brennan, said Scanlan's manager (Mr Leon Tansey) today. The Auckland Boxing Association had the first option but that did not mean it would get the fight. He said Mr W. Christiansen, acting president of the A.8.A., said it would not be staging any more outdoor fights this season, and it was highly unlikely that it would promote the bout indoors.
Results of soccer matches played yesterday were: English League.—Division III: Millwall .3. Port Vale 1: Southend 2. Brentford 1. Division IV: Barrow 2, Carlisle 2.
