Miss K. Quigley spoke on bulb growing at the annual meeting of the Hawarden C.W.I. held recently. Flowers were , presented to Mrs G. Larners, who is leaving the district.

During the year gifts had been sent to the Aged Peoples’ Welfare Council, a handicapped girl and victims of a fire, the president reported. A presentation was made to Mrs R. S. Galletly; competition steward, Mrs T. T. Shivas; group delegates, Mrs J. L. Wright and Miss O. Galletly; flowers for sick, Mesdames W. D. Yorston, K. M. Campbell and R. B. Kellock; singing, Mrs E. R. Wright; drama, Mrs A. J. McEwan.
