HAWARDEN C.W.I.
Miss K. Quigley spoke on bulb growing at the annual meeting of the Hawarden C.W.I. held recently. Flowers were , presented to Mrs G. Larners, who is leaving the district.
During the year gifts had been sent to the Aged Peoples’ Welfare Council, a handicapped girl and victims of a fire, the president reported. A presentation was made to Mrs R. S. Garden who gained most points in competitions. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs D. Binning; vicepresidents, Mesdames L. D. Hood and J. Mitchell; secretary, Mrs J. L. Wright; treasurer, Mrs S. D. Hood; committee, Mesdames N. Todd, E. J. Pierce, J. R. Green, R. S. Garden, D. A. Dent, K. M. Campbell, W. D. Yorston, W Guthrie, C. J. Ferguson and A. J. McEwan, Misses A. Holder and O. Galletly; competition steward, Mrs T. T. Shivas; group delegates, Mrs J. L. Wright and Miss O. Galletly; flowers for sick, Mesdames W. D. Yorston, K. M. Campbell and R. B. Kellock; singing, Mrs E. R. Wright; drama, Mrs A. J. McEwan.
