BOARD’S NEW BUILDING
“Clamour” For
Space
Prospective tenants of the Christchurch Drainage Board's new building in Cambridge terrace are “clamouring” for floor space, according to Mr M. R. Carter, although no rent has been decided yet. The board had an application before it last evening for 2000 sq. ft. of floor space, but decided against any decisions yet. Mr D. P. McLellan's motion that the Regional Planning Authority’s application for 3000 sq. ft. be given priority consideration lapsed for want of a seconder. Mr G. A. G. Connal said it would be two years before the board was ready to let space in its new building.
