The German author, Heinrich Gerlach, twice wrote the manuscript of his- novel “Stalingrad” and twice had it taken away from him by guards while in a Russian prison. He returned to Germany a nervous wreck and unable to remember a word of the book. However, under hypnosis he was able to dictate his novel word for word and the book turned out a great success.
