Market Declines At Close Of Trading
The market declined yesterday, as trading closed for the week, to show the sharpest reverse this year. Overseas issues were quiet and uncertain. New Zealand Newspapers lost ground sharply with the old shares down Is 6d to 58s 6d and the B shares falling 3s 3d in sympathy to 58s. Most gains were narrow, but Reid Rubber rose Is 3d to 57s 6d and Tui Brewery recovered 3d to 9s 9d, while B.H.P. regained 6d of the 9d lost on Thursday to sell at 48s.
