Licensing End Looked For
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 13. New Zealand’s economic planning should contemplate a long-term project to abolish import licensing, said Mr H. E. Smith, a vice-president of the 'Veilington Chamber of Commerce, at a meeting of the chamber’s council this week. “We may have to keep some of it,” he said, “but I don’t think that the economy should be permanently burdened with import licensing.” I’r Smith was commenting on the sixth report of the Monetary and Economic .Council
