Gift To N.Z. Government (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 13. The United States Ambassado. (Mr H. B. Powell) today presented 103 volumes of recent titles in American literature to the New Zealand Government. The gifts, presented in the reading room of the General Assembly library, include volumes on United States history, modern American fiction, biographies, art, politics, and economics. Mr Powell said they had been made available by the American Booksellers’ Association, and duplicated a set presented to the private presidential library in the White House. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said the books would form a valued part of f e Parliamentary library.
