Low Fares To Australia For Migrants 9 Visitors

SYDNEY, March 13. A plan to help homesick Dutch migrants in Australia was announced by Netherlands Embassy officials in Sydney today. A ship is to be built in Holland which will carry relatives and friends of migrants to Australia at cheap fares. Homesick migrants in Australia will be able to have their friends and relatives as guests for several weeks. The officials announced the plan when they greeted the

new Netherlands ConsulGeneral to Australia, Mr Willem Frowein, who arrived today in the liner Oranje. The officials said the new ship would make regular trips to Australia and other countries where Dutch migrants now live. The director of the Netherlands Information Service in Sydney. Mr Con Meischke, said there were 130,000 Dutch migrants living in Australia. At present friends and relatives of migrants who visited Australia had to pay high fares, he said. This had prevented many people from coming to Australia on visits.
