Airline Pilots Punished

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, March 13. A British Overseas Airways Corporation pilot, Captain Alfred Woolcott, whose Comet jet touched down in a game reserve on February 3, has been dismissed. His co-pilot, First Officer James Nightingale, has been ordered to lose two years seniority, and has been severely reprimanded. Both men can appeal to Sir Giles , Guthrie. The Comet had 62 persons aboard. The wheels touched the ground in the game reserve but Captain Woolcott immediately lifted the plane into the air again and made a perfect landing at Nairobi airport a few minutes later. No-one was hurt and the plane was undamaged.
