DRAMATIC SOCIETY The W.E.A. Dramatic Society is putting on a three-aet comedy as its first production for 1964. This is “Tony draws a Horse,” by Lesley Storm. Everyone enjoys a good comedy and this play is guaranteed to provide a wealth of laughter for everyone. This is the second three-act play which this society has attempted, and again Harold Pointer is our producer. Mr Pointer is also joining tne cast to play the role of Grandpa. "Tony draws a Horse” can be seen in the W.E.A. Hall, Gloucester St., at 8 p.m. on 16th. 17th, 18th April. We also hope to pay our tribute to Shr kespeare’s 40Oth Anniversary this year In early June we shall present a mixed programme of Sonnets, music, excerpts from several of Shakespeare’s plays and possibly a film. Two plays may be entered in this year’s B.D L. Festival. The W.E.A. Dramatic Society has won many awards in past Festivals, and is the present holder of the Radford Cup, awarded for the best use of speech The year would not be complete without one presentation of one-act plays, which this Society has concentrated on in the past. These plays will be produced in August The year will end with a further three-act play in November. New members are always welcome, both aetine and nonacting.
